Option CR3 - Wideband IF Output Installation Kit 1. Pre-Upgrade Status Check Before performing this upgrade you will need to know the status of the instrument being upgraded in a couple of areas. Pre-Existing Issues and Error Messages Power the instrument on and verify that the instrument will not only boot up, but that the signal analyzer application software will load properly.

Option CR3 - Wideband IF Output Installation Kit 6. Install the AUX IF assembly on the DIF board. a. Refer to Figure 5, locate the AUX IF assembly and the ribbon cable in the upgrade kit and install it on the upper side of the DIF board. Connect the E4410-60162 ribbon cable from DIF board to AUX IF assembly.

Option CR3 - Wideband IF Output Installation Kit c. Locate the two cable assembly N9000-20108 and N9000-20132 in the upgrade kit. Connect N9000-20108 from AUX IF Assembly J2 connector (Figure 6) to RF Board J336 connector (Figure 7). Connect N9000-20132 from AUX IF Assembly J3 connector to AUX IF Out connector (W5) of the rear panel (Figure 3).
Option CR3 - Wideband IF Output Installation Kit 3. Update the Instrument Software 1. Loading the latest instrument software is required to assure all FPGAs and drivers located on both the newly installed hardware and on the case instrument are synchronized. Therefore, even if the instrument contains the latest revision of software, you must re-install the software to assure proper operation.
