Before operating machine, read and

Be familiar with machine before opera-
tion!
WARNING!
Always disconnect the power source (electrical
or hydraulic) prior to installing the bit.
Electrical Power Switches MUST be in OFF posi-
tion before connecting machine to electrical
power source!
• Machine should be set-up as desired, per the informa-
tion in the "MACHINE SET-UP and DIAMOND CORE
BIT INSTALLATION" sections of this document.
• Before use, make sure all electrical and / or hydrau-
lic connections are properly connected and secure
(For Electric Models, Items BB and CC in "Control
Panel Electrical Connections" diagram shown at
right).
• Verify that Control Panel Electrical Power Switches
(Z & AA) are in the OFF position!
• Verify that drill motor speed selection switch is set
to the recommended speed for the bit diameter
installed on the machine. See "Drill Spindle Speed"
section of this document for information.
Vacuum Equipped Machines:
• Verify that Control Panel Electrical Power Switches
(Z & AA) are in the OFF position!
• Verify that Core Drill is positioned properly on a flat
nonporous surface.
• Connect Male Plug Pigtail (FF) on Control Panel
to the Female Receptacle of a extension cord (not
supplied).
• Connect male end of the extension cord to an elec-
trical power supply.
• Turn Vacuum Pump Switch (AA) to the ON position.
• Visually check the Vacuum Gauge (N) to verify that
Vacuum Pump (M) is creating proper pressure.
See "Minimum Vacuum Pressure" in Chart at
right. If minimum pressure is not present, do not
operate machine.

Control Panel (Y) Electrical Connections
NOTICE
Vacuum Equipped Machines: While applying feed
pressure, look closely at the front of the base to
see if it is lifting up. This can be an indication
that you are pressing too hard and vacuum may
be breaking loose from the drilling surface.
