Thank you for purchasing this product of Olympia
Electronics. A European manufacturer.
GENERAL
The unit consists of two sections, the charging
base and the detachable illumination unit. The light
source of the unit consists of white colored high
illumination LEDs. These LEDs light from either
the mains power supply, when the luminaire is on
its base, or from the built in rechargeable batteries.
The device offers a dimming capability by using
the incorporated push button.
The incorporated photo-sensor permits the unit to
light only in the dark. By default, this sensor is
disabled. To enable the photo-sensor function see
the
section
"Photo
deactivation".
Mounting-Operation
The unit can either be mounted on a wall or placed
on a table. If the unit is detached from the charger
then it automatically switches to emergency
operation and can by carried using the convenient
carrying handle.
Re-insert the luminaire on its base in order to
charge the batteries (figure 1).
Charging for the fist time
To use the device for the first time, wait for 15
minutes. To use the luminaire in full autonomy,
charge the batteries for at least 24 hours. The
charging indication is showed by the green
indicator inside the diffusor.
Push button operation
To turn ON the luminaire, press the push button
momentarily. To turn OFF the luminaire press
again the push button momentarily. The setting is
automatically stored into memory. A different
operation mode (ON or OFF) can be selected
when the device is charging or when it is removed
from it's base(or during a power failure) by using

the push button. For example, to make the device
light when it is on its base(charging) and also light
when it is removed from it's base(or during a power
failure), do the following:
1. Place the unit on it's base and make sure it is
charging(the green led is ON)
2. Press the button so that the white LEDs light.
3. Remove the unit from the base.
4. Press the button so that the white LEDs light.
Now the unit will light when charging and also light
when removed from the base.
You can do the same for other types of operations.
If the phot-sensor is enabled then this operation
(ON-OFF) is functional only at night.
Light level adjustment (Dimmer)
Remove the unit from the base and press the
button so that the white leds are turned OFF. Press
and hold the push button for more than 2 seconds
until the white LEDs light. Release the push button
and press again continuously until the desired light
level has been reached. Release the push button
and wait. In a few second the leds will go OFF and
the light level setting is stored in the memory. If the
push button is pressed again to turn ON the leds,
the leds will light with the light intensity that was
selected. The same can be done with the unit on it's
charging base. This way we can have a different
light level when the unit is on it's charging base and
a different light level when the units is not on the
base (or during a power failure). The light level
decreases from the highest level to the lowest level.
In order to increase the light level, release and push
the button again. Once the desired light level has
been reached, release the push button and the
current setting will be stored into memory after 3
seconds. This setting is retained into memory until a
new setting is stored.
