Pluggable optical modules

This chapter describes pluggable optical modules of the ISCOM6800, including the following
sections:



We recommend using Raisecom optical modules on the ISCOM6800. These optical
modules match with the ISCOM6800 well in the research and development phase,
thus they can provide optimal performance metrics and decrease faults.

5.1 GE SFP optical module

5.1.1 Functions and appearance

The GE Small Form-factor Pluggables (SFP) optical module is applicable to the 1000 Mbit/s
telecommunication or data communication networks. It is integrated with sending and
receiving features.
Figure 5-1 shows the appearance of the GE SFP optical module.

5.1.2 Label

There is a label on the bottom of the SFP optical module, which describes the model of the
SFP optical module, as shown in Figure 5-2.
