This chapter describes the fan of the ISCOM6800, including the following sections:

2.1 Functions

The FANS382 is the fan module of the ISCOM6800, supporting the following functions:









2.2 Appearance

The FANS382 is installed on the top of the ISCOM6800. The appearance is shown in Figure
2-1.

Provide 8 embedded fans, ensuring good heat dissipation in the chassis.
Provide alarm and working status LEDs on the front panel, indicating the fan status in
real time.
The fan module is separate from the chassis. Therefore, services will not be interrupted
when you replace the fan module.
The control terminal is completely isolated with the fan module, ensuring the system to
run safely and stably.
Support intelligent speed regulation. That is, the system can adjust the rotational speed of
the fan automatically according to the temperature.
Support manually configuring the rotational speed of the fan, which has 8 levels.
Support rotational speed feedback.
Support hot swapping. The fan module adopts the double buffering startup scheme,
which increases the stability of hot swapping.
