Wireless connections

Users of wireless systems are responsible for
compliance with the applicable directives and
restrictions in the country concerned.
A "wireless system" in the sense of the European
Directive RED 2014/53/EU (Radio Equipment Directive)
is an electrical or electronic product (component) that
transmits and/or receives radio waves as permitted
for the purpose of wireless communication and/or
radiolocation.
WLAN and Bluetooth instructions can be found in the
separate instructions "Data protection, data security,
wireless connections".

These instructions must be carefully studied prior to
start-up, connection and operation of the KTS 515 and
must always be observed.

Bluetooth

2.6.1

Bluetooth USB adapter

The Bluetooth USB adapter included in the scope of
delivery is inserted into the PC/laptop and provides a
radio link to components of KTS 515 capable of wireless
communication.

Troubleshooting

link, refer to the information in the separate

Description of unit

3.1

Intended use

The KTS 515 is a module for on-board diagnosis
(referred to in the following as OBD).
Together with the "On-board diagnosis" PC software,
the KTS 515 can implement the following functions:

On-board diagnosis with e.g.

Fault memory readout

Erasing of fault memory
$
Display of actual values
$
Activation of actuators
$
Readout of Lambda values

Prerequisites

The KTS 515 can only be used with a computer and the
BEA-PC software.

Hardware

Computer with operating system Windows 7,
Windows 8 or Windows 10
R
DVD drive
R
CPU (processor) with 2 GHz or more
R
Hard drive with at least 5 GB of free storage space
R
4 GB of RAM or more
R
Two vacant USB ports for the Bluetooth USB adapter
and for a USB connecting cable
3.2.2

Software

On installation of the BEA-PC software, the PC software
"On-Board-Diagnose" will be installed on the computer
as well.
