7 Starting Up the Printer

Note the operations and functions necessary to use the printer.

Before Use

The following is a basic flow of the work of the printer.
Usual condition
Online (ON LINE)
The printer is ready for printing.
The ON LINE indicator lights.
Offline (OFF LINE)
The print job is in stop mode.
The ON LINE indicator goes out.
Power ON while the
button is held pressed.
Test print (
The printer performs a test print. The present
setting contents, etc. are printed out.
Power ON
Press the
ON LINE
button to switch.

Error
The printer is not ready, for
example, "the cover is open",
"the media is used up".The
ERROR indicator lights or
flashes and the ERROR
status LED shows an error
