Head light adjustment (03_35, 03_36, 03_37, 03_38, 03_39)

Proceed as follows:
- Position the unloaded vehicle, in running order and with the tyres inflated to the
prescribed pressure, onto a flat surface 10 m away from a half-lit white screen; make
sure the vehicle axis is perpendicular to the screen.
- Remove the headlight assembly central cover.
- Turn on the headlight and check that the borderline of the projected light beam should
be lower than 9/10 of the distance from the ground to the centre of the vehicle's head-
light, and higher than 7/10.
- Otherwise, adjust the headlight.

THE ABOVE PROCEDURE COMPLIES WITH THE EUROPEAN STANDARDS RE-
GARDING MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM HEIGHT OF LIGHT BEAMS. REFER TO THE
STATUTORY REGULATIONS IN FORCE IN EVERY COUNTRY WHERE THE VE-
HICLE IS USED.
To access the headlight adjusting screws:
- Unscrew the four screws «A» (two on each side) and remove the front cowl.
- Unscrew the five screws «B» and remove the side cover.
