PROBLEM
Main burner flames
are small and
appear lazy; oil does

PROBABLE CAUSES
Improper gas pressure.
A. Gas valve is not turned on.
B. Manual gas shut off valve closed.
C. Improperly connected quick
disconnect fitting on gas line.
D. Ignition module issue
Improper gas pressure.
Dirty or obstructed gas valve vent
tube (non-CE fryers only).
A. Improper gas pressure.
B. Oil used is of inferior quality
and/or oil has been used too
long.
C. Dirty frypot.
A. Incorrect location of temperature
sensor probe or defective
temperature sensor.
B. Loose wiring/wire connection.
Defective temperature probe.
Controller error.
Energy type in fryer setup is
incorrect.
Controller locator missing or
disconnected.
Contact your FAS for service.
A. Turn the gas valve knob to the ON
position.
B. Verify that any in-line manual shut off
and gas main valve is open.
C. Verify that the quick-disconnect fitting
on the flexible gas line is firmly
connected to the fryer.
D. Contact your FAS for service.

Clean per instructions in Chapter 4 of this
manual.

B. Replace oil.
C. Ensure frypot is clean when refilling
with new oil.
