output stage for several seconds if an average power overload exists. After that time,
the unit operates normally for a short time, and if the overload condition persists, the
power is cut again. This cycle repeats until the overload is removed.
A second (faster) circuit actively reduces the output pulse width if the output current
exceeds twice the rated maximum, approximately (i.e., 2 × 5A = 10A).
This instrument is intended for use in research, development, test and calibration
laboratories by qualified personnel.
