Storage

• Fire hazard; do not store machine where there is a possiblity of ignition.
• Do not wash engine or control panel with running water; water may enter inside
and cause rust or damage.
• Clean machine before storage; leaving dirt or foreign objects may cause rust or
damage.
• Do not store machine in a humid, dusty, or hot place.

Follow the instructions in "Parking" (page 24) to park machine.

Clean dirt off of machine.
Follow the instructions in "Operator's Manual for the Engine" to prepare engine for

storage.

Remove battery from machine (electric start model).
5.
Cover machine with a protective, water-proof covering after machine cools off.
NOTE
• Battery dischages even when it is not in use. A battery may hold charge for a few
months, but it is a good practice to charge the battery before it goes flat; it will
extend the battery life.
• Refer to "Operator's Manual for the Engine", for detailed instructions on preparing
engine for storage.
