BATTERY INSTALLATION

(for electric model)
WARNING
Battery–Fluid is poisonous and dangerous,
causes severe burns, etc. Contains sulfuric
acid. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or cloth-
ing.
Antidote: EXTERNAL – Flush with water.
INTERNAL – Drink large quantities of water
or milk. Follow with milk of magnesia, beat-
en egg or vegetable oil. Call a physician im-
mediately.
Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes and
get prompt medical attention.
Batteries produce explosive gases. Keep
sparks, flames, cigarettes, etc. away. Venti-
late when charging or using in enclosed
space. Always shield eyes when working
near batteries.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
1. Add electrolyte to the battery up to the upper
level line.
Upper level
CAUTION:
Lower level
Refill with distilled water only; tap water
contains minerals harmful to a battery.
2. Loosen the vent caps to allow the gases to
escape.
3. Charge the battery at the rate of 1.4 A for 10
hours.
NOTE:
Charge the battery to 1.280 specific gravity at
68_F (20_C) before installation.
