3.5 Adjustment Procedure

3.5.1

Language setting

Unlike the conventional PowerShot Series (incl. IXY DIGITAL), the PowerShot G2 can select the video
output system (NTSC/PAL).
(The video output system is not settable with the Adjustment Software.)
On the other hand, the user cannot select the indication language of the LCD, as it is already prepared for
each destination as below. (2 kinds)
• 5 languages (N) : English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese
• 10 languages (P) : English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian,
Therefore, be sure to set the indication language of the LCD on the adjustment software.

< Procedures >
1. Open the "Languages" Pull-Down Menu of the Adjustment Software.
2. Select any of the 5 languages (N) / 10 languages (P) according to the destination (or the initial setting
of camera).
Notes:
1. If the above setting is not performed, the language before the electrical adjustment is effective.
2. The MAIN PCB ASS'Y of Service part is set to the "5 languages (N)".
* Before the electrical adjustment, it is recommended to take notes of settings of the indication lan-
guage and video output system.
