orientation and JP201 is installed
Poor quality batteries or Carbon-zinc
Very short sampling interval
Corrosion on interface or inside Head Unit
Appendix C - Sentek SOLO Quick Reference Guide
Solo Head Unit & Probe Troubleshooting Guide
Possible Solution
Replace with high quality alkaline or lithium batteries
Check battery covers are connected properly
Check for corrosion inside battery holder
Batteries not inserted correctly
Replace interface
Old batteries
Batteries not inserted correctly
Power wires not connected correctly
Make sure cable is firmly connected to computer COM or
USB port and to TTL port on interface.
Check for any corrosion.
Make sure wiring is correct to interface
Make sure power connection is correct, replace fuse
Check cable is connected from TTL port to computer
COM port.
Try other Serial Port COM numbers, in the PConfig drop
down list.
Make sure USB to COM port drivers are installed.
Replace cable
Remove JP201 from interface to protect against
incorrectly installed batteries (see Figure 2 or Figure 3).
Remove batteries & insert in correct orientation.
Use new alkaline or lithium batteries
Increase sampling interval e.g. above 10 minutes
Check for corrosion, and replace corroded parts
