    If necessary, before updating firmware, download and install Firmware Loader. Download and install the PCS software for configuring the EDID 101H 4K PLUS. Click the Download tab (see figure 7, The Download Center opens.

    Installing the Software The Extron Product Configuration Software (PCS) must be downloaded from the Extron website to configure the EDID 101H 4K PLUS. To download PCS: On the PCS page, click Download (see figure 9, Submit the required information to start the download. Note where the file is saved.

However, all devices located and supported by PCS are listed in the Device Discovery panel (see figure 11).     DataViewer DataViewer is an enhanced terminal emulation program that facilitates analysis of RS-232, USB, and TCP/IP communication with Extron devices. The software allows users to send commands to a device and view the responses in ASCII or hexadecimal format. Command and response logs can be saved in text or HTML format.

    Updating the Firmware Firmware updates are released periodically on the Extron website. You can find the version Command and Response currently loaded on your device using SIS commands (see Table for SIS Commands on page 18). Compare this with the latest release for the EDID 101H 4K PLUS on the Extron website and decide whether to update your firmware.
