7. Disengage tension spring.
8. Loosen the two screws on transmission lever.
9. Make sure needle bar is always coupled.
10. Mount adjusting tool #398.129.03 on clutch lever.
11. Make sure the spring from the thread catcher is attached.
12. Turn hand wheel until release lever is the cut out of the adjusting tool. Bring needle bar to its highest position.
13. Place gauge #398.128.03 between transmission lever and control lever.
14. Follower arm should be on the flange and not on the diameter of the changeover cam.
15. Push follower arm very gently to the front, and lever to the rear.
16. Tighten the two screws on transmission lever.
17. Attach spring
18. Recheck the adjustment.
