Installation: (Note: Lubricate all components prior to installation.)
16. Install needle bar clutch and needle bar guide and engage needle bar (930).
17. Install take up lever part on shaft and remove any play by moving the collar.
18. Mount linkage back into the counter weight and tightened screw down on the location flat.
19. Rotate the hand wheel one revolution and check if the lower part of the take up lever moves very easily within the needle bar link guide.
The guide can be adjusted buy loosening the two fastening screw of the guide.
20. Slide shaft, collar and take-up lever to the right until they stop.
21. Tighten screw into the V-groove of shaft.
22. Swing needle bar support up and install the shaft and collar (930).
Check:
23. Select stitch width "4".
24. Set changeover lever between "0" and" 1- 20" (not engaged in either position)
25. The needle bar support should move freely.
26. To correct, move upper end of the needle bar support to either the front or back, to obtain the least amount of friction. Go through all
long stitch and basting adjustments and the entire sewing-in procedure.
