If you intend to use the Voice Priority Faxswitch Method, or you use a Cordless Phone with 1 or more handsets, then you will be able to simply connect FAXSWITCH 2 to ANY telephone socket on your line. It will take you just a few minutes. -
Page 3: Two Operating Modes
. VOICE PRIORITY FAXSWITCH OPERATION This mode is TRANSPARENT in operation, which means that FaxSwitch 2 will not ANSWER the call. It operates with your telephone line in a unique manner and will not affect the operation of any of the other telephone devices that may be fitted to your line. -

This method is based on the traditional Faxswitch method, where this unit will automatically answer ALL incoming calls FIRST after 2 rings. It will then briefly “listen” to this call for Fax Calling Tones (CNG Tones).
