If you intend to use the Voice Priority Faxswitch Method, or you use a Cordless Phone with 1 or more handsets, then you will be able to simply connect FAXSWITCH 2 to ANY telephone socket on your line. It will take you just a few minutes.
. VOICE PRIORITY FAXSWITCH OPERATION This mode is TRANSPARENT in operation, which means that FaxSwitch 2 will not ANSWER the call. It operates with your telephone line in a unique manner and will not affect the operation of any of the other telephone devices that may be fitted to your line.
This method is based on the traditional Faxswitch method, where this unit will automatically answer ALL incoming calls FIRST after 2 rings. It will then briefly “listen” to this call for Fax Calling Tones (CNG Tones). FaxSwitch 2 If CNG tones are detected, will RING your attached Fax Device and connect the incoming Fax Call to it.
