PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Faxability Switch 2 has been specifically designed to allow ANY existing Fax or Fax/Modem device to receive Fax calls automatically when using the Telecom Faxability service. Faxability Switch 2 is TRANSPARENT in operation, which means that it will not affect the normal use of your telephone line in any way and will work with all other telephone devices that may be fitted to your line.

DIP SWITCH SETTINGS Four Micro Dip Switches are located on the underside of the Line Sharer. If you wish to set Faxability Switch 2 to operate with the CALLER ID service please set : Dip Switch 4 to the ON position.

However, should your Fax Device NOT DIAL out when connected to Faxability Switch 2, then you should set Dip Switch 2 to the ON position. When Dip Switch 2 is set to the ON position, Faxability Switch 2 will leave your Fax Device connected to your telephone line when your line is not in use.

However, should your Telephone NOT DIAL out when connected to Faxability Switch 2, then you should set Dip Switch 4 to the ON position. When Dip Switch 4 is set to the ON position, Faxability Switch 2 will leave your Telephones connected to your telephone line when your line is not in use.
A small number of Fax Devices may not ANSWER the Ring that is generated by Faxability Switch 2. Should this happen, you will notice that Faxability Switch 2 will ANSWER an Incoming Fax call after 1 ring, but your Fax Device will not connect to the Fax call.
DIP SWITCH SETTINGS Four Micro Dip Switches are located on the underside of the Line Sharer. The position of each switch is important as they individually vary the operation of this unit. Please ensure that you understand the significance of each switch, as described elsewhere in this User Guide, before altering their position.

OPERATION WITH ADSL Faxability Switch 2 will not interfere with your ADSL service and your ADSL service will not affect your Faxability Switch 2 device. However, you MUST fit an ADSL FILTER between the telephone wall socket and the Telephone Line input of Faxability Switch 1 , so that your Fax Device can operate on a line with ADSL.
