PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The SPEAKER SWITCHING UNIT (SSU) accessory, is designed to operate with the MULTIPLE INPUT UNIT (MIU) and the TALKING DISPLAY UNIT (TDU). This configuration will allow up to 12 separate (4 or 8 ohm) speakers, in conjunction with up to 12 separate sensors to be connected to the one Talking Display Unit (TDU). - Page 3 It does not matter which of the identical communications ports are used for input or output. A single 6 wire telephone cable is supplied with all TDU accessories. There is no need for any other external connections. - Page 4 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1) Using a 6 wire telephone cable, connect Communications Port 1 of the SPEAKER SWITCHING UNIT (SSU) to the Sensor Input port of the TALKING DISPLAY UNIT (TDU). 2) Using another 6 wire telephone cable, connect Communications Port 2 of the SPEAKER SWITCHING UNIT (SSU) to the Communications Port of the MULTIPLE INPUT UNIT (MIU).
