    Modem facilities, and are required to RECEIVE INCOMING MODEM CALLS and share the same telephone line. Up to FOUR MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCH’s can be fitted to ONE LINE, to provide for connection of up to 8 separate devices.

    Up to FOUR MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCHES can be fitted to ONE LINE, to provide for connection of up to 8 separate devices. ONE MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCH unit (called the MASTER) should be set to ANSWER incoming calls. All other MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCH units should have the ANSWER facility disabled.
  • Page 5 ONE MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCH unit, then this unit should be set up as the MASTER UNIT. If more than ONE MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCH unit is to be used, then you need to SET UP each unit as follows : MASTER UNIT (for a Fax and a Modem or for Two Modems) The DTMF Code for Device A = 1.
  • Page 6 DTMF CONNECTION CODES To CONNECT to a MODEM fitted to any MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCH on the SHARED LINE, the calling MODEM must send one or more DTMF commands (single digit numbers from 1 to 8) which are entered at the end of the dial string.

    See Diagram on Page 7 1. Unplug all equipment from the telephone socket to be used. 2. Connect the LINE port of the MULTIPLE MODEM SWITCH to the telephone socket, using the supplied telephone line cord fitted with a male plug. See Diagram on page 7.
