Filling the Engine Crankcase with
Oil
1.
Remove the dipstick
oil into the fill hole until the oil is between the
upper and lower limit on the dipstick.

Service Interval: After the first 50 hours—Clean the

Inspecting and Cleaning the
Engine-Oil Filter
1.
Remove the oil-filter retaining bolt.
2.
Pull the oil-filter cap out and remove the oil filter.

Clean the oil filter or replace it if it is damaged.
4.
Install the oil filter.
5.
Make sure that the oil-filter cap is fully seated.
6.
Install and tighten the oil-filter-retaining bolt.
7.
Add new engine oil; refer to
Crankcase with Oil (page
8.
Warm up the engine by running it for 5 minutes,
and check for any engine oil leaks.
9.
After the engine is warm, turn it off and let it sit
for 10 minutes.
10.
Check the engine oil level by fully inserting, but
not screwing in, the dipstick.

Add engine oil as needed; refer to
Engine-Oil Level (page 22)
