If the backup file for the configuration definition information and instrument
management license information does not exist, the recovery may take some
time.
Storing the License Agreement (for Instrument
Management License)
If you purchased an optional instrument management license, make sure that you keep
the License Agreement in a safe place. It is necessary to restore the configuration
definition information, such as when replacing a device due to a device failure.
Confirming the Base Software Version
If a device failure occurs and must be replaced with a repaired product, the basic software
version of the repaired product may be different from the basic software version at the
time of the failure. For a smooth recovery, we recommend making a note of the current
basic software version.
You can confirm the basic software version using the show version command.
For details on the show version command, refer to "- show version" in the "User's
Manual".
Connecting with the Center
After the device settings are complete, connect the device with the center (M2M service
infrastructure).
The two methods of connecting the device with the center are as follows:
- SSL-VPN connection via the Internet
- GSM or 3G wireless communication connection (option)
