GW1500 Getting Started Guide
For <number>, specify the instrument definition number (decimal number from 1 to 110).
For <type>, specify whether or not to perform a ping monitoring for the instruments that
are connected. If the connected instruments support ICMP (ping monitoring), specify "1".
If they do not support ICMP (not ping monitoring), specify "0".
(config)# instrument register 1 connect-type 1

Execute the instrument register monitoring-info command to set the information
for the monitored instrument.
Command input format: instrument register <number> monitoring-info <address>
For <number>, specify the instrument definition number (decimal number from 1 to 110).
For <address>, specify the instrument IP address.
(config)# instrument register 1 monitoring-info 192.xx.xx.xx

Execute the save command.
The settings are saved in "startup-config" (startup configuration information).
The settings will not be saved if you do not execute the save command.

Execute the commit command.

Operation after Setup

Backup of the Device Configuration Definition Information
and Instrument Management License Information
Once all of the device settings have been completed, create a backup file for the current
device configuration definition information and instrument management license
information.
If a device failure occurs, this backup file will be necessary for our company to perform a
recovery.
For details on the backup procedure, refer to "Saving Files" in the "User's Manual".
