Adjusting the rear shock absorber

The rear shock absorber has adjusters that enable you
to suit the setting to the load on the motorcycle.
Adjuster (1), located on the lower part of the
monoshock, adjusts the damping during the rebound
phase (return).
The adjuster (2) located on the expansion reservoir of
the shock absorber adjusts the damping during the
compression phase.
The two nuts (3) on the upper part of the shock
absorber serve to adjust the preload of the external
spring.
To change spring preload, slacken the upper locking
ring nut. Then TIGHTEN or SLACKEN the lower ring
nut to INCREASE or DECREASE spring preload.
After setting spring preload as desired, tighten the
upper locking ring nut.
STANDARD setting: from the fully closed position
(clockwise), loosen as follows:
rebound (1): 6±2 clicks from fully closed;
compression (2): 1.5±0.25 turns from fully closed;
spring preload: 13 mm (0.51 in) from fully
uncompressed spring.
Maximum RANGE:
rebound (1): 22±5 turns;
