Replacing the Timing Belt of Ribbon Motors

Required tools:
• Phillips screwdriver
• Thin shaft

Make sure that the printer is in power off mode, then disconnect the power cord from
the AC outlet.

Open the rear housing covers from the printer.
Refer to Section 5.1.1 Opening the Rear Housing Cover

Remove two screws
pulley bracket  and then the screw
attached to the ribbon rewind

spindle on the other side.
To remove the screw
shaft into a hole through the ribbon rewind

spindle as shown on the picture. Then hold
the ribbon rewind spindle

Remove the bearing  and pulley bracket .

If you need to replace the timing belt of the ribbon rewind motor, perform steps 6
through 8.

Disconnect the ribbon rewind cable .
