5.11 Replacing the Ribbon End Sensor

Required tool:
• Phillips screwdriver

Make sure that the printer is in power off mode, then disconnect the power cord from
the AC outlet.

Open the top cover of the printer.
CAUTION
Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of the cover.

Open the rear housing covers from the printer.
Refer to Section 5.1.1 Opening the Rear Housing Cover

Remove the gearbox from the printer.
Perform step 3 of Section 5.9.1 Replacing the Timing Belt of

Remove the print head from the printer.
Perform steps 3 through 6 of

Remove the ribbon rewind spindle.

On the front of the printer, remove two
