5.6 Replacing the Operator Panel KB PCB
Required tool:
• Phillips screwdriver

Make sure that the printer is in power off mode, then disconnect the power cord from
the AC outlet.

Remove two screws attaching the
operator panel assembly to the center
frame.

Disconnect the connector on the rear of
the operator panel assembly .

Remove four screws
operator panel KB PCB
operator panel assembly
5
Press the catch on the right side of
operator panel assembly
remove the operator panel KB PCB
Replace the defective operator panel
KB PCB
with a new operator panel
KB PCB.

Perform the assembly with the reverse
procedure.
After replacement
• Adjust the print darkness.

• Adjust the pitch.
Refer to Adjusting the Print Position in chapter 5 of S84-ex/S86-ex operator manual.
• Adjust the offset.
Refer to Adjusting the Media Stop Position in chapter 5 of S84-ex/S86-ex operator manual.
• Adjust the buzzer volume.
Refer to Adjusting the Buzzer Volume in chapter 4 of S84-ex/S86-ex operator manual.
• Adjust the display brightness.
