Setting up the Machine

1. Remove the knob, all washers, the spring, and the centring
piece from the saw blade supporting arm.
2. Set the saw blade you intend to sharpen onto the pin and
mount all pieces as shown below.

3. The saw blade is only centred, but not bolted down – tighten
the screw only until the spring builds up good tension, but the
blade can still be moved. Make sure the centring piece is not
offset.

Alignment of the Saw Blade

The saw blade must be aligned
to the grinding stone. The
surface to be ground must be
parallel to the corresponding
surface of the stone.
