Send the following command string to the modem, (this will set the
modem to factory default, set the connect rate to 9600bps, and
finally save the configuration to NVRAM):
AT &F &N6 &W
Set dip switch eight (8) up.
Cycle the modem power switch again.
Action
Send the following initilization string to the modem.
AT &F E0 S0=1 &D0 S37=9 &K4 $SB9600 %E0 Q1 &W Z
Cycle the modem power switch
Note: You can use this string even if you do not have the voice option.
(If you have a ZDX modem, and the previous non-voice data/fax string
does not work, use this string.)
Action
Send the following initilization string to the modem. Each line must
be a separate line.
AT&F
AT +IPR=9600
AT +IFC=1
AT S0=1 &C0 &D0 &K4 &S0 S37=9 E0 %E0 Q1 V0 &W Z
Cycle the modem power switch
