Checklist
Verify that you have satisfied the items needed in the first checklist before proceeding
to the configuration checklist that follows.
Items needed for configuration

The NR Video driver installed and configured under the Video Network Manager in

Composer
The DVR IP address

Username and password of the NICE/RIVER Administrator account defined for

remote access
Username and password of each NICE/RIVER Recorders, as set in the SiteBuilder

tool (Recorder Password)
The camera connections

The Decoders IP address

The monitor connections

Plug-ins needed:

– #258501 (NR driver)
– #358201 (NICE/RIVER ST)
NOTE: Plug-ins are installed during the software setup procedure. You can check that
the Plug-ins are actually available using the Composer Plug-in Installer in the
DMS8000 start menu.

Digital Video Recorders
1. Add the NICE/RIVER driver.
2. Add a folder for the DVR system.
3. Add the DVR node.
4. Configure the DVR IP address.
5. Link DVR to the Driver.
6. Connect the cameras.
7. Configure video monitors and alarm I/O objects.
8. Configure the video camera coverage.
Digital Video Decoders
1. Add a folder for the Decoder.
2. Add the Decoder node.
3. Configure the Decoder IP address.
4. Link DVR to the Driver.
5. Connect the monitors.
