▶ To load mandrel:

A.
Unscrew and remove the nose cap 3
from the tool by twisting it counter-
clockwise until it comes off the tool
(Fig. 1).
B.
To loosen the collet nut, first press
shaft lock button 7 and rotate the
collet nut 1 by hand until the lock
engages the shaft preventing further
rotation (Fig. 2).

With the shaft lock 7 engaged, loosen
the collet nut 1 (turn counter -
clockwise, L). Use the wrench 15 if
necessary. The collet nut must be
loosely threaded on when inserting
an accessory (Fig 2).
D.
Insert EZ Lock™ mandrel 28 into
collet 2 (Fig. 2).
mandrel bottoms out on the collet nut,
setting the mandrel to the correct
depth. Failure to set the mandrel to the
correct depth can result in damage to
the attachment.
E.
With the shaft lock 7 engaged,
tighten the collet nut 1 securely (turn
clockwise, T) with wrench 15 (Fig. 2).
Always be sure the tool is turned "OFF" before changing accessories,
changing collets or servicing your cordless rotary tool.

Note: If the EZ Lock™ mandrel does not
fit into the collet, it is possible that the
collet is stuck within the collet nut. If
this happens, remove the collet nut from
the tool by continuing to twist it
counterclockwise. If the collet does not
separate from the collet nut when
removed from the tool, push the shank
of the EZ Lock™ mandrel 28 into the
hole in the collet nut 1. This should
cause the collet 2 to pop out of the
collet nut 1. Re-assemble by placing the
collet 2 into the output shaft 4 and
twisting the collet nut 1 clockwise over
the collet to tighten it back onto the
output shaft 4 (Fig. 3).

▶ To load sanding disc:

A.
Pull spring-loaded sleeve 30 DOWN
towards tool with one hand and hold.
You can brace the tool on the body or
workbench for extra leverage
(Fig. 4).
B.
With the other hand, align bow tie
interface 31 on mandrel with metal
bow tie interface 33 on bottom of
sanding disc 32 (Fig. 4).
C.
Place sanding disc on the mandrel to
a point just below the bow tie on the
mandrel 31 and twist 90 degrees
until the bow tie interface 33 on the
sanding disc 32 aligns with the sleeve
