Step 5: Adding an External ES to Your PCS 7 Project

All other configuration tasks are performed on the external ES. Once you have
created a PCS 7 project using the PCS 7 Wizard, you must add to the external ES
to your project.
Requirements
•
A "New Project" has been created in the PCS 7 Wizard.
•
The PCS 7 project has been configured and the name of the SIMATIC PC
station has been changed to match the name specified in the Component
Configurator on the SIMATIC PCS 7 BOX station.
•
The PCS 7 project is displayed in the component view of the SIMATIC
Manager.
Follow These Steps:
1. Right click on the project folder in the left window of the component view to
open the context menu and select the command Insert New Object >
SIMATIC PC Station.
2. Right-click on the inserted SIMATIC PC station and select "Rename" in the
context menu.
3. Enter the name that you specified as the "Station name" in the Component
Configurator on the external ES.
