If the unit's metal contacts come into contact with a foreign material (oil, detergent, etc.), then contacts may repel
water and therefore will not be able to properly detect water.
• Water Detector is water-resistant, but is not waterproof. If the detector has been submerged in water or becomes wet
for an extended period of time, test the unit to verify water detection. If it does not detect water, the unit will need to
be replaced.
