Make sure the ignition key is in the OFF position and
the tra~k is not rotating before checking or adjusting
track alignment. Personal injury could result if contact is
made with a rotating track.

1. Remove excess ice and snow buildup from
the track, track drive sprockets, and the in-
side of the skid frame.
2. Using a shielded safety stand , raise the rear
of the sno wmobile off the floor making sure
the tr ack is free to rotate.

The tips of the skis must be positioned against awall or
similar object for safety.
5. If the distances from the rear idler wheels to
the inne r track drive lugs are not the same on
both sides, an adjustment is necessary.
Adjusting Track Alignment
1. On the side of the track whic h has the inner
track dri ve lugs closer to the rear idier wheel ,
loosen the adjusting bolt jam nut (Fig . 28);
then rotate the adjusting bolt clock wi se 1·1
1/2 turns.

4. When the tr ack stops rot ating , che ck th e rel a-
tion ship of th e rear idler wheels and th e inn er
track drive lug s. If th e di st ances from the rear
id ler wheels to th e inn er tra ck dri ve lug s are
th e same on both sides, no adju stment is
necessary (Fig. 27).
3. Start th e engine and accelerate slightl y. Use
only enough throttle to turn t he tra ck several
revolution s. SHUT ENGINE OFF .

NOTE: Allow the track to coast to a stop. DO
NOT apply the brake because it could pro-
duce an inaccurate alignment condition.
