Programming Guide (SCPI)

SCPI command syntax

The following conventions are used for SCPI command syntax for remote interface programming.
– Square brackets ([]) indicate optional keywords or parameters
– Braces ({}) enclose parameter choices within a command string
– Angle brackets (<>) enclose parameters for which you must specify a value
– A vertical bar (|) separates multiple parameters

Error Messages
If <numeric> is beyond the range specified, a return error value will be clipped to the
minimum or maximum attenuation value. You may encounter the following two error
messages if the value is not within the specified range:
- + 12, "Value clipped to Max"
- + 11, "Value clipped to Min"
