The following buttons are located at the bottom-right of the analyzer screen:
The link button indicates the link speed, duplex mode (shown by
solid or outlined arrows), and if 802.1X authentication is enabled. If
this button only displays link speed and duplex, no authentication is
needed.
The above link button shows a 1000 Mbit full duplex connection
(two solid arrows) with authentication enabled and operational.
One solid and one outlined arrow represents half duplex. Press this
button to go to the Setup | Ethernet screen. Refer to the online Help
for information on the Setup | Ethernet screen.
frames (silent mode) is turned on in the Setup | Ethernet screen.
This button generates tabular HTML reports on select screens. The
reports are stored by default in C:\Program Files\Fluke
Networks\OptiView\Reports. When this button is pressed you are
prompted to specify a filename or to use the default name provided.
This button brings up the Print dialog. The default printer is the
OptiView PDF Printer which allows you to take a snapshot of the
current screen and save it as a PDF file. You can also add or select a
different printer in the Print dialog. See Setting Up a Printer section
later in this manual.
Note: If you wish to generate a PDF file, do not check the Print to
file check box in the Printer dialog.
This button displays the battery charge state. The battery icon
displays the battery charge level, e.g. full, about half full, and near
empty. If an external battery is connected, the battery icon represents
the weighted average of both the internal and external batteries. The
analyzer operates off the external battery until it is depleted, then
switches to the internal battery. Pressing this button opens the Power
Options Properties screen.
This button opens the help system and will display help information
on the current screen.
The Back button returns you to the previous screen. Also, when
going to a screen using a forward arrow button
returns you to that particular screen.
The Switch Statistics, Local Utilization, Device Discovery, Protocol Statistics,
Problem Discovery, and Network Discovery buttons provide information on
their respective areas. The combined information provides a blueprint of the
network, letting you know how things are going. This information will allow you
