3.3 Licensing
A suitable license is needed in order to use the options.
Requirement
You need at least protection level 1 (machine manufacturer) in order to set or reset options.
Proceed as follows

1. Select the "Startup" operating area.
2. Press the menu forward key.
3. Press the "Licenses" softkey.
The "Licensing" window opens.
An overview containing the following information appears:
Hardware serial number:
Hardware type:
4. Enter your license key in the "You can enter a new license key here"
field.
5. Press the "NCK reset" softkey.
The license key is now active.
Provides the individual
SINUMERIK sl number, which
corresponds to the CF card serial
number.
E.g., "SINUMERIK 840D sl"
