Introduction

1.1 General description

The security fitting with integrated access control is a battery-operated access control system. It is integrated as a
stand-alone device in a fitting system. Identification takes place by entering a 4-digit code. The security fitting is
suitable for high security requirements.

Specifications

The security fitting fulfills the following requirements:
Suitable for use on fire and smoke protection doors in accordance with DIN 18273
Suitable for use on emergency exit doors in accordance with DIN EN 179
Burglary protection in accordance with DIN EN 1906, protection class 2
Requirements in accordance with DIN 18255 and DIN 18257.
Note
The security features of this product are critical for compliance with DIN EN 179. With the exception of
the changes outlined in these instructions, no further modifications of any kind are permitted.
Information
Distorted and taut door locks and fittings do not function securely.
Ensure that the lock and security fitting are not distorted or taut when installed.
Check that all handles or knobs move smoothly.
When carrying out work on doors with an installed lock, the lock may be damaged.
Only carry out work on the door with the lock removed.
Before installing the lock and the security fitting:
Remove any soiling, such as swarf, dust or similar.
Sharp edges, kinks and high levels of tension can damage the connection cables.
Only route the connection cables over blunt edges.
Avoid kinks.
In metal profiles: Connection cables should be routed in protective tubes.
Inside the door leaf and door frame: Include adequately sized cable loops in the installation pockets.
