Centrifugal clutch
Clean and inspect the different parts with
regard to wear or other damage.

Assembly

Temporarily place the clutch shoes on the
clutch hub and loosely tighten the screws.
Pry out the shoes and hook one spring to
each shoe from underneath.
Clutch drum
Dismantling
Dismantle the clutch cover with clutch
drum from the shaft.

Clean and inspect the different parts with
regard to wear or other damage.
Wear on the clutch shoes must not be
greater than shown in the illustration.
Check the play in the sleeve bearings
in the clutch shoes and the wear on the
springs by the fastening hooks.
Assembly
Temporarily place the clutch shoes on the
clutch hub and loosely tighten the screws.
Pry out the shoes and hook one spring
into the cut-out in each shoe from under-
neath.
Insert the clutch shoes as far as possible
and hook the springs to the adjacent
clutch shoe from above as shown in the
detailed fi gure.
Use a small screwdriver or fl at-nosed
pliers.
NOTE!
Make sure that the spring eye is
pressed into the correct position.
Remove the screws and put the cover
plates in position.
Tighten the bolts, fi t the clutch to the
crankshaft and the remaining parts in the
reverse order as set out for dismantling.

Dismantling
Separate the engine body and shaft as
described previously.
1. Loosen the screws (A) holding the
clutch cover against the shaft.
2. Pull away the clutch cover with the
clutch drum and the drive axle from
the shaft.
