Charcoal Filter - For Non-Vented (recirculating)
Installations
The charcoal filter is not washable nor reusable.
They should be changed every 4 months in normal use.
The charcoal filter captures unpleasant cooking odors.
To Install Charcoal Filters
1. Turn blower and lights off. Check that halogen lamp is cool.
2. Remove the front panel by extracting them outward.
3. Remove the metal grease filter by pushing handle toward the
rear and pull downward.
4. Remove the grease filter.
5. Install charcoal filter over grille on blower housing and align
the pins (B) on the cowl with the slots (C), then turn the filter
clockwise until it locks in place.

6. Repeat to install other charcoal filter.

To Replace Charcoal Filters
1. Turn blower and lights off. Check that halogen lamp is cool.
2. Remove the front panel by extracting them outward.
3. Remove the metal grease filter by pushing handle toward the
rear and pull downward.
4. Pull filter toward front and set aside.
5. Turn charcoal filter counterclockwise.
6. Remove and discard charcoal filter.
7. Repeat to remove other charcoal filter.
8. Install replacement charcoal filter over grille in blower housing
and align the pins (B) on the cowl with the slots (C) (see
illustration for Step 6 in "To Install Charcoal Filters"), then turn
the filter clockwise.
9. Repeat Step 9 to install other charcoal filter.
Replacing a Halogen Lamp
Turn off the range hood and allow the halogen lamp to cool. To
avoid damage or decreasing the life of the new bulb, do not

touch bulb with bare fingers. Replace bulb, using tissue or
wearing cotton gloves to handle bulb.
If new lights do not operate, make sure the lamps are inserted
correctly before calling service.
1. Disconnect power.
2. Use a flat-blade screwdriver and gently pry the light cover
loose.
3. Remove the lamp and replace with a 12-volt, 20-watt
maximum, halogen lamp made for a G-4 base.
4. Replace the light cover.
