Setting up MT180

This section describes how to turn on MT180 for the first time.

Connecting Power

Follow these instructions to connect power to MT180.
1.
Connect the adapter cable to the DC connector of MT180 (1), then plug the adapter into an
electrical outlet (2).

MT180 automatically powers on when the 12V DC power adapter is connected. MT180 wel-
come screen appears and then the terminal runs module checking process.
NOTE:
MT180 comes with an anti-theft sensor inside the rear panel. If you want to set up
MT180 before installation, do one of the following to disable the alarm buzzer.
1. Attach a magnet behind the sensor on the rear panel.
2. Disable Anti-theft function in MT180 firmware. (See Advanced Setting on page 15)
3. Open the case and short circuit pin2 and pin3 of the J5 connector.

Identifying LED Indicator Lights

MT180 is equipped with three LED indicators. Refer to the following table for detailed information.
Indicator Light
Blinking Yellow
Solid Yellow
Solid Green
Solid Red
