Using Proximity Reader

MT180 features a standard proximity reader, which
is compatible with all 125kHz EM, 125kHz HID, and
13.56MHz Mifare cards.
Follow instructions below to utilize MTTool to add a
card.
1.
Connect MT180 and your computer to the
network. See Establishing Terminal-PC
Connection on page 3.
2.
Execute MTTool on your computer.
3.
Make sure you entered correct IP address
and port number. Click Connect button.
4.
Follow MT180 on-screen instructions to
enter the Card Info Query option. See Gen-
eral Settings on page 12.
Swipe your card on the Proximity Reader.
The terminal beeps three times.
The screen displays "Invalid Card" with your
card number.
5.
In MTTool, under the SysSet2 tab, input the card number, user name, group number, password,
and so on.
6.
Click Add a Card No button. The status bar at the bottom of MTTool displays "Successful termi-
nal response" informing you MTTool has successfully send the card to MT180.
NOTE:
When adding a card, you have to at least fill in the information of card number, user
name, group number, and password. Otherwise, a prompt appears to ask for specific
information.
Follow instructions below to utilize JanitorLite to add a card.
1.
Connect MT180 and your computer to the network. See Establishing Terminal-PC Connection
on page 3.
2.
Make sure you enable Unitech MT Service in Control Panel.
3.
Execute JanitorLite on your computer.
