HOW TO USE THE TOOL

Assembling the core bit
Your machine is equipped with a spindle with an outside diameter of 1 ¼" and
an inside diameter of ½".
Complete the following steps:
• Pull the plug for the power supply out of the wall socket
• Grease the thread of the motor shaft (4)
• Place the bronze or brass ring (A) to make disassembly easier
• Screw the core bit (B) onto the motor shaft (4) until it stops turning
Choice of rpm
The choice of revolutions per minute of the engine depends on the diameter of the
core bit. Consult the table below or the label on the speed selector (3).
Selector position
Speed during use (in rpm)
Drill Ø (mm)
The rotation speeds given above are standard values. They may be changed
depending on the material being drilled and its reinforcement.
We advise you to lower the speed whilst drilling into reinforced concrete, and to
increase the water supply, only increasing the speed again once you are through
the steel.
Never adjust the speed of the engine while the apparatus is working.
Only once it has come to a complete rest, by turning the shaft of the core bit (4)
by hand, can you easily change the speed.
Drilling
1. Open the (water) tap (8) and adjust the water supply.
2. Activate the PRCD (2).
3. Turn the motor on by switching the on/off switch (1) to "1".
4. Carefully begin drilling your hole. After a few millimetres, you can use normal
pressure.
