FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Starting off
Check that the mains voltage is the same as the voltage stated on the label of the
apparatus and that the switch (1) for the motor is set on "0".
Before using, always check that the plug and the cable (9-6) are alright.
Seeing that your diamond motor is Class I, earthed, it should always be earthed with the
encoded plug that is delivered with the apparatus, and connected to the differential
circuit breaker. For this, the cable has a safety switch for your protection PRCD (2),
that controls an FI-protector (circuit breaker) and an automatic off-switch to guard
against power fluctuations.
Never use the apparatus without the PRCD (2) and without first checking the workings.
The encoded plug must be inserted into an earthed socket. Press the "RESET/START
button" of the PRCD; the power light goes red; the PRCD is live.
Press the "TEST/STOP" button, the power light goes out: the PRCD is not operational.
Press the "RESET/START" again: you can use the apparatus.
Never replace the standard plug delivered with your machine!
The PRCD and the cable must never come into contact with water.
Electrical protection (system)
If the supply voltage is higher than the rated value, you must apply less pressure, since
otherwise the protection system for the motor will be triggered and the motor will stop, in
order to protect it against overheating.
You should wait 5 to 10 seconds before pressing the on/off switch (1) in order to
reactivate the machine.
In the case of a power failure, the PRCD will also fail and must be started up again once
power is restored.
Before introducing a power source to your apparatus through the plug or
the PRCD, always check that the on/off switch (1) of the SD 250E is in the "0"
position!
SPIT cannot be held responsible due to incorrect use.
Torque limiter
The built-in torque limiter protects the user and the apparatus from mechanical
overloading. When the torque limiter is initiated, you should immediately reduce the
pressure, because if the torque limiter is in operation for too long it can be worn out
dramatically, as well as heat up, and can also damage your diamond core bit.
