Connecting the refrigerator
DC power:
Please note the following cable sizes:
– < 6 m (in the interior): at least 6 mm
– > 6 m (in the interior): at least 10 mm
– Connections D+ and S+: 0.75 mm
– Cable fed via draw bar (campers only): 2.5 mm
– Electronics connection cable: 0.75 mm
➤ The supply line to the heating element (fig. j 12, page 10) must be protected
with a 20 A fuse.
➤ The supply line to the electronics (fig. j 9, page 10) must be protected with a
2 A fuse.
➤ Use cables as short as possible to connect the heating element.
➤ Run the cable to the heating element (fig. j 12, page 10) via an ignition-con-
trolled relay (fig. j 15, page 10) to prevent the battery from completely dis-
charging if the engine is switched off accidentally.
➤ Connect a 12 V continuous supply to the connection for the lighting/electronics
(fig. j 11, page 10).
D+
In automatic mode, the refrigerator selects the most favorable mode available. The
refrigerator is only operated with direct current when the vehicle engine is running.
The electronics of the refrigerator uses the signal D+ from the light system to detect
the running engine.
➤ Connect the D+ connection to the controls (fig. j 11, page 10) with the respec-
tive terminal of the vehicle.
