7. WHAT TO DO "WHEN..."
MALFUNCTION
After starting, the engine
is not turned on and there
is no sound.
After starting, the engine
does not turn but there is
a sound.
The engine has diffi culty
running.
The pump does not
supply any water.
The pump does not suck
up the water.
The pump is pumping
an insuffi cient volume
of water.
The pump vibrates and is
noisy when running.
CHECKING (possible reasons)
The supply socket is not under voltage.
The engine of the pump is not under voltage.
Check protection.
Potential intervention of thermal protection
Low supply voltage.
Search for any blocking of the pump or engine.
Check whether the shaft is blocked.
Check the condition of the condenser.
Make sure that the supply voltage is suffi cient.
Check any abrasion between the movable
and fi xed components.
The pump was not correctly fi lled.
The suction tube has a suffi cient diameter.
Suction of water through the suction tube.
A poor slope of the suction tube supports the
creation of air bubbles.
The suction tube is blocked.
Running wheel is worn or blocked.
The diameter of the suction piping is
insuffi cient.
Check that the pump and piping are fi rmly
fi xed.
Cavitation in the pump.
The pump is overloaded.
SOLUTION
Check the electricity supply.
Check the supply cable to the pump.
If the circuit breakers are defective replace
them with new ones.
Wait for approximately 20 mins for cooling
engionet. Check the reason which caused it
and remove it.
NOTE: A repeat of the failure means that there
is short-circuit of the engine.
Check the supply voltage.
Remove any mechanical resistance.
Remove the cap using the tool and turn the
shaft with a screwdriver.
Replace the condenser.
Check the supply voltage.
Try to remove the reason for abrasion.
Fill the pump with water and pay attention to
any leaks of air by unscrewing the de-aerating
closure.
Replace the tube with another with a larger
diameter.
Remove the mentioned negative phenomenon
by checking the tightness of the joints and
refi lling.
Check the slope of the tube.
Clean the suction tube.
Remove the blockage or replace worn
components.
Replace with piping with a larger diameter.
Secure any loose parts.
Decrease the height of the suction or check
the decrease of pressure.
It could be useful to restrict the infl ow.
