Air Conditioning Power Stage
Description
Depending on the inputs received from the pressure switch and the Coolant temperature
sensor and the accelerator pedal demand, the EMS decides whether to turn on the AC,
switch off momentarily to meet the power demand calculated through accelerator pedal
input, or to switch it off permanently to reduce the load on the engine and thus avoid over
heating based on the input received from the coolant temperature.

DTC detection condition
Normal operation
• Depending on the above mentioned inputs and inbuilt
logics, the EMS gives or cut off ground to the
compressor clutch relay.
Malfunction
• The Compressor clutch relay driver detects open load.
Reaction
• BS III & BS IV – Sys Chk lamp on
• AC Compressor clutch will not get engaged.
