Using the Web Menu

The Web menu is used to display information about the scanner, to set
up the network when connecting via wired LAN or Wi-Fi, and to
configure various Web services. Scanner settings can be configured
using a Web browser.
IMPORTANT
• We recommend the following Web browsers:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 or higher
Microsoft Edge 42 or higher
Firefox 61.0.1 or higher
Chrome 75.0 or higher
• In examples in the following instructions use Internet Explorer 11
and Windows 10. Displays vary depending on the Web browser.

Displaying the Scanner's Web Menu

1
Open the Canon imageFORMULA Driver Setting Tool's
Settings screen.
(See p. 92)
2
Click the [Network monitor] tab.
3
Select the scanner from the list, and click [Properties].
The scanner's Web page opens, and the login screen is
displayed.
4
Select a display language for the Web page in the
[Language] list box.
5
Enter the administrator password in [Password].
Since the administrator password is not set in the scanner's
factory defaults, when opening the Web menu the first time, do not
enter anything and proceed to the next step. If you changed the
administrator password previously via the Web menu, enter that
new password.
IMPORTANT
To ensure security, we recommend changing the administrator
password without leaving it as shipped from the factory. Change
the password in the [Password Setting] screen of the Web menu.
