4.3.4 Replacing an SMU

Prerequisites


Procedure
Step 1 Push the locking latch towards the left.
Step 2 Pull the handle outwards and remove the SMU, as shown in Figure 4-6.

Step 3 Insert the new SMU into the subrack, push the locking latch towards the left, and pull out the
handle.
Step 4 Slide the SMU into the subrack slowly along the guide rail, push in the handle, and then push
the locking latch towards the right.
Step 5 Reset parameters on the SMU.

Follow-up Procedure
Pack the removed component, and return it to Huawei local warehouse.
Issue 04 (2019-12-20)
The cabinet door key is available.
The new SMU is intact.
